Abstract This legal research attempts to identify and analyse some of the most significant legal arguments and legal literature conducted on the law of rape towards the protection of the rightful victims in Uganda. The paper hopes to shed light on a relatively unobserved subject matter. Contemporary legal scholarship and Law Reports were examined so as to establish the significance of such arguments in the wider development of rape law in Uganda to the protection of the rightful victims.
