ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of family issues on student academic performance in Tertiary institutions. The population of the study comprises of all 400level student of home economics in Tai Solarin University of Education Ijagun, IJEBU- ODE and all home economics student of Tai Solarin College of Education Omu Ijebu, Ogun State. The study was descriptive research design. The sample size for the research was One hundred students. The instrument used for the research was a well structured-questionnaire. The data collected were analyzed using simple percentage, mean and the hypotheses was tested using chi-square which was tested at 0.05 level of significance
