1.0 INTRODUCTIONCommunications is fundamental to the existence and survival of humans as wellas to an organization. It is a process of creating and sharing ideas, information, views, facts, feelings, etc. among the people to reach a general understanding. A Superior/Manager may be highly qualified and skilled but if he does notpossess good communication skills, all his ability becomes irrelevant. A manager mustcommunicate his directions effectively to the subordinates to get the work done fromthem properly. Same applies to companies without an effective means or channels ofcommunication   may   lead   to   low   productivity,   breakdown   or   barriers   ofcommunication, as well as disaffection and disinterest of employees towards good jobdelivery. The   study   of   communication   is   important,   because   every   administrativefunction   and   activity   involves   some   form   of   direct   or   indirect   communication.Whether planning and organizing or leading and monitoring, Superiors/administratorscommunicate   with   and   through   other   people.   This   implies   that   every   person’scommunication   skills  affect   both   personal   and   organizational  effectiveness   (Brun,2010; Summers, 2010). It seems reasonable to conclude that one of the most inhibitingforces to organizational effectiveness is a lack of effective communication (Lutgen-Sandvik, 2010).   Moreover,   good communication skills are  very  important  to onessuccess as a top administrator.
