Computer Resource Availability and Organizational Performance in Cimerwa Plant Ltd in Rwanda

ABSTRACT This study was set out to establish the computer resource availability and organizational performance in CIMERWA Plant Ltd in Rwanda. Specifically the study wanted to (i) establish the extent of computer resource availability in CIMERWA Plant Ltd and (ii) determine the level of staff performance in CIMERWA Plant Ltd (iii) determine if there is a significance relationship between Computer Resource Availability and staff performance in CIMERWA Plant Ltd (iv) recommend strategies to further enhance the performance of the staff in CIMERWA Plant Ltd in Rwanda base on the findings of the study. The study employed a descriptive co-relational design; data were collected from 174 respondents using self administered questionnaires as data collection instrument. Data were analyzed at uni-variate level using frequency counts and summary statistics and Pearson Linear Correlation coefficient at bi-variate level. The study revealed that staff performance indicators in CIMERWA Plant Ltd are affected by computer resource availability. From the above findings appropriate conclusions and recommendations including those for further research were made. Recommendations from the study were: (i) CIMERWA Plant Ltd should put in place well established financial performance strategies based on the organization level and rank of employees, (ii) CIMERWA Plant Ltd should ensure that the work schedules of all employees are well set and that every employee is given what can be accomplished with in the expected time, (iii) Employees should make an effort to understanding of work processes and execute their tasks well and accomplish them in time to enable the organization realize its objectives, (iv) Employees should be properly rewarded financially so as to improve on the care given to customers to attract more of them leading to the growth of the organization, (v) There is need for management of computer resource availability and organizational performance in CIMERWA Plant Ltd to motivate employees using different means since individual satisfaction differs and people can be satisfied in different ways, (vi) Employees should go for further training in their respective areas of specialization to improve on their work process in terms of understanding what ~to and how to do it.
