ABSTRACT

A heat exchanger is a medium that transfers heat energy from a high temperature fluid to another low-temperature fluid without mixing the fluid together. Thermal exchange is one of the most important applications in many fields, such as food processing engineering, especially in the manufacture of materials that are highly sensitive to high temperatures, as well as difficult to heat or raise their temperature by direct methods and other materials. Heat exchangers are used in many engineering processes, including cooling, evaporation, sterilization, pasteurization, condensation and other thermal processes. Heat exchangers are the most important component of some machines, making them an important part of scientific studies and research. This research includes a study of the design of a heat exchanger with a casing and a tube in the company of Khartoum efficiency of diesel cooling by heating the crude in the unit DCU, through Matlab in arithmetic operations and drawing diagrams between variables in design, and I found results similar to the fact with different design method but achieved the objectives of the research with the performance of the same results.
