SUMMARY
Background
Improving the continuum of maternity care is a key strategy to achieve the new global target of zero preventable maternal deaths by 2030. It is a critical strategy for reducing maternal and newborn mortality and morbidity. Millions of women around the globe do not receive the maternal health care services they must survive pregnancy and succeed.
Objectives: -To assess the completion of maternity continuum care and its associated factors among women who gave birth in the last 12 months in Dubti District, Afar, Ethiopia, 2023.
Methods: - A community-based cross-sectional study will be conducted from July 19 to August 19, 2023. The total sample size is 567. The study area will be Dubti district, Afar regional state, Northeast Ethiopia. Multistage stage sampling techniques will be used to obtain study participants. Data will be entered into Epi-data software version 4.6 and then exported the SPSS version 26 statistical package for analysis. Descriptive statistics and bivariate and multivariable logistic regression will be used to analyze the data. A significant association declared a p-value < 0.05 and AOR will be used to declare the result.
Work plan and budget:An estimated 22170 ETB is needed for this research project.
