FOREWORD
The compilation of the powerful speeches and addresses that make the volume projects His Excellency, Vice Admiral Murtala Hamman-Yero Nyako as one of the intellectual backbones of the G-5 struggle that ended in the epic defeat of the ruling PDP in the 2015 general elections.
A deep introspection of the argument of the issues raised in the volume which straddled politics, economy, security, religion, geography, health, social welfare, law and history no doubt, pitched Nyako in the tent of patriots like, Sir. Ahmadu Bello, Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, Sir. Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, Chief Obafemi Awolowo among others who never bottled their feelings for Nigerian State.
Against this background, this compilation by the budding brilliant scholar and editor, Godwin Onuh Odeh, with a note on Nyako written by a detribalized and generous personality, His Excellency, Senator Dr. Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko stands to fill the gaps in areas such as Nigerian politics, history, law, religion, security studies, health, agriculture, geography, language among others.
The volume therefore, will therefore serve as scholarly text and reference material to policy makers, security chiefs, researchers and students in our institutions of higher learning.
