ABSTRACT The study was intended to empower women from poor households to make this contribution. Microfinance institutions is the provision of financial services to the poor in a sustainable manner, utilizes credit, savings and other products such as micro insurance to help families take advantage of income generating activities and better cope with risk. Women particularly benefit from microfinance as many microfinance institutions target female clients. (Mayoux, 2000). The study will intend ofto get literature from others scholars basing on the microfinance institutions and development of women entrepreneurs in Uganda while basing on the objectives which are; To identify the extent of micro financing in Budaka district, To determine the level of development of women entrepreneurs in Budaka District, To determine if there is a significant relationship between micro Finance institutions and development of women entrepreneurs in Budaka District. This will give a clear view of the study. In chapter three this will deal with the research design, sampling techniques and the population study and sample size. Which is of purposive sampling, and research instrument was the questionnaires and this made the study possible. In chapter it was about the data analysis which analyzed the collected data from the field, interpreted it and presented in tabular form. The findings of the study discovered that microfinance plays a crucial role in women activities; it provides to them different services such as savings. social capital, training and loan/credit in order to enable them a good business performance. According to lbru (2009), Microfinance the provision of financial services to the poor in a sustainable manner utilizes credit, savings and other products such as micro insurance to help families take advantage of income-generating activities and better cope with risk. In chapter five this will deal with the findings of study, summary and conclusions on the topic of the study. As demonstrated by the evidence cited throughout this literature review, microfinance plays a significant role in developing country economies and development of women entrepreneurs particularly in Budaka district through employment and income generation, both of which directly affect poverty reduction. Government should Expand the market for women entrepreneurs in Uganda, by increasing the number of trade fairs and provide support for women entrepreneurs to participate in many trade fairs since it is an opportunity for marketing women entrepreneurs' Products;
