The study found that, out of the sixty editions of stories used from the two selected newspapers, majority of the stories were not accompanied by any form of image hence, not attaching prominice to the conflict as needed. Photos have been identified as an important reference by which readers judge a news story. Newspaper stories are often boosted with images to show their importance. The tone of the story was neutral while the frame was more geared towards peace. The research discovered that newspapers give more prominence to other stories than conflict stories. It is recommended that the newspapers should give equal attention to conflict stories for the public to be informed.
