ABSTRACT
This study aimed at investigating the professional aspiration and success anxiety of teachers, nurses, lawyers and medical doctors. Some available literature were reviewed and ten hypotheses formulated. They are as follows:
(1) There is a significant difference in the
(a) success anxiety
(b) Professional aspiration
(c) Self concept of female teachers, nurses, lawyers and medical doctors
(2) Female lawyers and medical doctors would attribute their success more to effort and ability than do female teachers and nurses.
(3) There will be no significant influence of socio-economic class of female teachers, nurses, lawyers and medical doctors on their professional aspirations and success anxiety.
(4) The professional aspirations and success anxiety of female teachers, nurses, lawyers and medical doctors will not depend on their
