Introductory letter
ABSTRACT
In recent year, a number of studies have highlighted resource mobilization and the performance of commercial banks through empirical advance across both developed and developing countries. In the pursuant of this type of evidence, this research clarifies the nature of resource mobilization on commercial banks in Kampala district. In the mode of this study, performance is the dependent variable thus saving is the independent variable. To examine the effect of saving and the financial performance of commercial banks, examine the factors that contribute to the performance of commercial banks and also identify the saving products of commercial banks. This study uses confirmative factor analysis to test the reliability and validity of this correlation. By using the ordinary least square technique, the hypothesis of the relationship between saving and the financial performance of commercial banks is measured. Results are consistent with the hypothesis. Saving has a positive impact on the financial performance of commercial banks in the case study of Centenary Bank Mapeera _ Kampala, Uganda. In order to test the robustness of the outcomes of the study, the presence of autocorrelation and in the model if also tested. And the implications for the resource mobilization are for the Centenary Bank Mapeera Kampala, Uganda.
