Abstract
The growth of entrepreneurship is the need of hour today. With the kind of saturation of job market and the development of artificial intelligence, there will be further severe imbalance in the demand and supply of jobs. This could create a big economic crisis and lead to many other macro-economic fluctuations. Hence the challenge is to prepare for the near future by equipping the current human resource. Management, which is considered as one of skill based professional course, is the right platform for the students to harness their entrepreneur skills, so that they develop the entrepreneurial attitude. It becomes the moral and ethical responsibility of the educational institutions and universities to facilitate and create such a kind of spirit in students. The universities and educational institutions should think in a broader perspective in encouraging and facilitating the students to develop the skills such that they create the jobs rather than looking for job. One of the biggest economy China, with highest population is successful in this activity and is able to tackle the issue of employment. Hence, there is a need for the study to understand the nature of gap in India in fastening the growth of entrepreneurship.
The perspectives of students of today, who are the futures of tomorrow need to be taken so that, it facilitate the policy makers in developing the necessary ecosystem for entrepreneurship. The student’s individual interest also matters in development of entrepreneurial activities. Hence the current study takes into consideration of macro level perspective i.e., national and institutional level and micro level i.e., student perspective about entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship education. The research adapted descriptive and analytical research methodology. Primary as well as secondary data was taken into consideration. Both qualitative and quantitative research was conducted.
