The study sought to establish the Impact of Community Radio· on Freedom of Speech In Uganda. The media in Uganda has undergone radical transformation from the past situation where successive governments right from colonialism carried on a mentality that the media was only significant to government. The state run media largely in existence at the time tended towards fragmented, individualistic and elitist reporting which left a larger percentage of the population with no effective media communication . . and hence little input into the development process of Uganda.
