The Impact Of Micro Finance And The Entrepreneurial Development A Case Study Of Kenya Women Finance Trust In Kiritiri Town (Kenya)

ABSTRACT

Entrepreneurship today has hit huge boost worldwide as individuals continuously seek to

develop and achieve vast in different fields. This global interest has much been realized in the

last decade especially in the developing countries. It also encourages use of local resources as

well as self reliance and employment. In the view to generate entrepreneurship, Kenya

government provides economic, social, financial and political support for the citizen.

In this survey carried to establish the impact of micro finances in entrepreneurial development

research questionnaires of both closed and open questions were issued project beneficiaries. Oral

interviews were also conducted to provide deep explanations which could have been left out in

the questionnaire respond.

The total number of respondents in this survey was one hundred and twenty entrepreneurs as

well as potential entrepreneurs consisting of both sexes. More importantly, descriptive

techniques were adopted to analyze data collected and in the process: explanations were

provided, tables, graphs and percentage expressions were used.

The study revealed challenges faced by both potential and existing entrepreneurs and has

provided practical solutions to postpone the hindrances experienced. It concluded that the contribution of the multi-million programme is a reality in the entrepreneurial development.
