PREFACE

Crude oil is a naturally occurring brown to black flammable liquid which is composed of hydrocarbon compounds, non hydrocarbon compounds, organometallic compounds.

Various types of non hydrocarbon compounds present in crude oil are organic sulfur, nitrogen and oxygen compound. Traces of this compound causes problem to catalytic refining process in the refining industry. Hydro treatment process is used to eliminate the problems caused by this compound
