ABSTRACT
This study examined the effort of TRACE corps in reducing road casualities in Ogun State. Road casualities exert huge burden on Nigeria’s economy and health care services and current accident prevention intervention are sporadic, uncoordinated and ineffective.
It also points out different causes of road casualities such as; poor road condition, inadequate road infrastructures, absence of integrated transport system, drivers’ behavior, accident and inadequate traffic planning are the salient factors that are responsible for road casualities in Ogun State.
Based on the findings, the research finally made recommendations to reduce road casualities such as enhance transport condition, road capacity expansion and encourage traffic safety education
