Palynostratigraphy Of Miocene Through Pleistocene Sediments From Part Of The Western Niger Delta, Nigeria.

ABSTRACT Palynological analyses were carried out on four wells, Bentu-DX, Eze-DX, Meren-66 and Meren-67 from the Western Niger Delta. The palynomorphs recovered were abundant and diverse in the horizons studied. The Bentu-DX and Eze-DX wells are of Late Miocene (P860) – Late Pleistocene (P900) age (ca. 5.8Ma -1.3Ma). The assemblages are dominated by land derived palynomorphs particularly Monoporites annulatus, the mangrove pollen Zonocostites ramonae, Podocarpus milanjianus, Stereisporites ...

An analysis of the factors affecting diffusion of ICTs amongst SMEs in the Hardware Retail Industry: A multiple case study.

ABSTRACT THIS RESEARCH WAS CONDUCTED FOR THE PURPOSE OF IDENTIFYING THE FOREMOST FACTORS AFFECTING ICT DIFFUSION AMONGST SMALL TO MEDIUM-SIZED HARDWARE RETAILERS. HAVING EMBRACED AND IMPLEMENTED ICTS, SMES OPERATING IN THE HARDWARE RETAILING INDUSTRY STAND TO BENEFIT IN VARIOUS WAYS. HOWEVER, IT APPEARS THAT THERE IS A SIGNIFICANTLY LOW RATE OF ICT UPTAKE AND DIFFUSION AMONGST HARDWARE RETAILERS IN GWERU. THE STUDY THEREFORE SOUGHT TO REVEAL THE FACTORS AFFECTING DIFFUSION OF ICTS AMONGST SMA...

Derivation Of The Bandwidth Resource Allocation In An Atm-Based Network

ABSTRACT Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) technology is the transfer mode for implementing a Broadband-Integrated Services Digital Network (B-ISDN). ATM defines multiplexing and switching techniques for broadband signals. Synchronous Optical Network (SONET) is employed in the B-ISDN backbone. The main objective of an ATM is to guarantee Quality of Service (QoS) in transfer of cell streams across networks. This technology recommended as the transport vehicle for the B-ISDN offers a great fl...

Beyond brain size: Uncovering the neural correlates of behavioral and cognitive specialization. Comparative Cognition & Behavior Reviews

Abstract: Despite prolonged interest in comparing brain size and behavioral proxies of “intelligence” across taxa, the adaptive and cognitive significance of brain size variation remains elusive. Central to this problem is the continued focus on hominid cognition as a benchmark and the assumption that behavioral complexity has a simple relationship with brain size. Although comparative studies of brain size have been criticized for not reflecting how evolution actually operates, and for ...
