ABSTRACT
Security is one thing human should not joke with, especially in today’s world where crime is at a higher rate. One of the ways of providing security is the introduction of security doors in houses, companies, offices and warehouses. Security doors may prevent or control entry or exit, or they may be merely decorative. Larger doors can be used for a whole building, such as a castle or fortified town, or the actual doors that block entry through the gatehouse. Today many doors are opened by an automated door operator. For a door to be operated with a remote, it must be electrically controlled or oriented. Chapter one will be a general introduction to the research work which will include definitions, objectives, application and scope of the work. Chapter two shall be review of related literatures or literature review on related subjects. Chapter three shall deal with materials and method or design methodology where components and diagrams shall be explained. Chapter four will be the summary, conclusion and recommendation. The backbone of any electric door, whether automatic or not, is the electric door motor, the electric device which actually enables the electric door to open and close without having to manually push the door. All types of electric door and barriers make use of a motor of some kind. Hence, this project utilized the Computer Numeric Control (CNC) automation to drive the electric motor used. The data to be processed is sent via the computer by typing or clicking the mouse, an already written program interprets the data and communicates the computer output ports from where the information is sent to an electronic decoder, which results in the control of the door by driving an electric motor attached to it.
