Macroeconomic Determinants of Housing Supply in Kenya

Kenya is one of the developing countries trying to provide affordable and decent housing to its residents. Macroeconomic instability persists despite efforts, impeding housing supply from both government and real estate sectors. This study examines the macroeconomic factors influencing Kenya's housing supply from 1980 to 2024, using time-series data. The augmented Dickey-Fuller and Johansen cointegration tests are conducted, along with the Vector ErrorCorrection Model, to assess long run relat...

Assessment of Emotional Intelligence in Health Care Delivery among Nurses in Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital

Background: Emotional intelligence (EI) has emerged as a critical factor influencing effective nursing practice. T...

Determinants of Infrastructure Development in Kenya

Empirical research on the macroeconomic factors influencing infrastructure development has yielded inconclusive results, with significant variations observed across studies. This study examines the determinants of infrastructure development in Kenya using a time series data analysis framework, with data spanning from 2003 to 2024. The study’s main estimates use the generalized-method-of-moments (GMM) estimator that allows us to account for the potential endogeneity of the infrastructure and...

AGRO-ECOLOGICAL ZONING OF IRISH POTATO BASED ON WATER REQUIREMENTS AND CLIMATE VARIABILITY IN THE RWANDAN HIGHLANDS (A case of Congo-Nile ridge)

The area of study is located in the Northern and western Provinces touching the following districts: Musanze, Nyabihu, and Ngororero. Rwanda Being a country with an economy essentially based on rain-fed agriculture, it is with no doubt vulnerable to negative effects of climate change, its adaptive capacity to impacts related to extreme meteorological phenomena is very low (MINITERE, 2006). The above-mentioned reasons have given us the occasion to conduct our research focusing on “agro ecolo...

DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF A SOLAR ENERGY SYSTEM

ABSTRACT In this project work, we are mostly concern about building a simple power streetlight which is automatically operated. There are four main components required to build a solar operated streetlight. The solar array, High efficiency D.C lamp section made by transistor, resistors, and the sensor LDR, changes controller which is made up of diode, resistors, LED, capacitor, and a battery of which the solar array is the most expensive. It is the solar array that produced a D.C voltage due ...

Menthol mint (Mentha arvensis): An annual aromatic crop for small and marginal farmers and MSMEs: A review

Menthol mint, corn mint or Japanese mint (Mentha arvensis) belongs to the family Lamiaceae, which is well-known for its aromatic and medicinal properties in the world, is asserted to have certain capabilities and to use modern technology. Studies on the phytochemistry of Mentha spp. found that it contains glycosides, which are flavonoids. The main chemical constituent i.e. menthol is used in cosmetics, as well as an alternative or complementary treatment for conditions like nausea, vomiting, ...

Importance and nutritional value with therapeutic properties of a traditional gulkand: A review

Rose flowers are considered an emerging nutraceutical due to their specific nutritional and medicinal properties. In ancient times, people used fresh rose petals or flowers to improve the flavor, taste and aesthetic appearance of foodstuffs. Petals of Rosa damascena, R. centifolia and R. indica, etc., are preferably used for extraction of rose oil and the making of gulkand and residual parts used as rose water. Among all the products, rose oil and gulkand are the most popular and demanding ...

Kifilideen’s Rule: A Groundbreaking Approach to Solving Product Index Nonlinear Simultaneous Equations with Two, Three, Four, and 𝒏 Variables

Many real-world and social problems give rise to product index nonlinear simultaneous equations, which traditional solution methods, whether direct or iterative, fail to solve effectively. These equations appear in diverse fields, necessitating a specialized approach to ensure accurate and efficient solutions. Existing methods for solving linear simultaneous equations are insufficient for addressing product index nonlinear simultaneous equations. Given their frequent occurrence in practica...
